While the bus moves through the wet streets, Maya’s phone vibrates. It is a message from her English teacher.

She checks the traffic and writes a careful message. The teacher replies quickly: “Come safely.”

Maya feels calmer. She puts her phone away and watches the slow traffic.

A few minutes later, the bus turns towards the school. The rain is lighter now, and Maya can finally see the entrance.

At the next stop, two passengers leave the bus. Maya moves closer to the door and checks the time once more.

She is still late, but she is no longer worried. She has explained the problem clearly, and now she can focus on arriving safely.
